Get Zoom Teeth Whitening or Consult with General Dentists, Oral Surgeons, and Endodontists at Sachem Dental Group’s Selden Location

Are you looking for a quick, effective, and painless way to whiten your teeth? Perhaps you are getting married in a few weeks, or maybe you have an important job interview coming up soon. Having a pearly white smile can add to your confidence and self-esteem, which can enhance photos, help you in stressful interview or work situations, and just generally allow you to enjoy life more fully.

If you are looking for an effective teeth-whitening strategy, call Sachem Dental Group and schedule an appointment with our general dentist in Selden. We offer Zoom teeth whitening at our Selden location, and often perform this service for our general dentistry patients. (You might also come to our Selden practice if you are looking for an oral surgeon or endodontist.)

What Is Zoom Teeth Whitening?

There are several different ways that you can go about making your teeth whiter. At Sachem Dental Group, we offer two methods. The first, tray whitening, uses custom-made trays in the whitening process. The trays resemble retainers and are fitted to your teeth like retainers to ensure proper coverage of all your teeth. Your dentist will fill each tray with whitening gel and then put the trays on your teeth. The gel will then slowly whiten your teeth. How long this method takes will depend on several different factors, such as how much whiter you want your teeth to be and what your dentist thinks is best.

The second teeth whitening procedure that our general dentists can provide in Selden is called Zoom teeth whitening. The Zoom method uses a hydrogen peroxide gel to whiten your teeth, alongside with a high-intensity ‘Zoom light.’ The light works to activate the gel, which then goes to work penetrating your teeth and eliminating discoloration.

In one Zoom procedure, your dentist will do three 15-minute sessions of light activation. In total, each procedure features just 45 minutes of whitening and usually lasts about an hour in total. However, for best effect, you will likely want to schedule a full teeth cleaning before your Zoom session, which can mean a longer appointment. (Appointments for Zoom in-office teeth cleaning and whitening won’t usually go for more than two hours.)

At Sachem Dental Group, we typically notice satisfactory whitening results after just one Zoom treatment. The process is completely safe and will be supervised completely by our dental staff. You will be amazed at how much whiter your teeth will look after just 45 minutes of Zoom treatment.
