Dr. Channa Jayatlake
Channa D. Jayatilake, BDS,DDS,PhD.
Dr.Jayatilake (Dr.J) has had a long and storied career in the field of dentistry. He is a graduate of the Dental School at the Stony Brook University where he pursued a Ph.D degree in Oral Biology as well as a DDS degree in 1998. Afterwards, he completed a general practice residency (GPR) at New York Hospitals in Queens (NYHQ), NY and continued one more year as Chief Resident for the GPR program. Since graduating , Dr.J has provided successful dental care in Suffolk County and greater Long Island area over 20 years and was exited to join the Sachem Dental Group (SDG) in 2024 to continue to provide for his local community.
When he is not in the office, Dr. J enjoys playing tennis and golf, cooking for the family and pampering his family cat Lena.
