Dr. Kristin Leis

Dr. Kristin Leis was born in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Fordham University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended the State University of New York School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook and obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery.

She was the recipient of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology award. Dr. Leis discovered her love of medicine and oral surgery while in her General Practice Residency at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens in 2001. She then pursued a fellowship, followed by the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Montefiore Medical Center/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine (2001-2006). Dr. Leis became an attending at Montefiore Medical Center in 2009, where she supervised and taught residents. She continued onto private practice at Sachem Dental Group in 2010 where she has been serving the patients of Suffolk County. She volunteers as a clinical assistant professor at the School of Dental Medicine as Stony Brook and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Her areas of expertise include treatment of the adult and geriatric population, dentoalveolar surgery and implantology. Dr. Leis understands that oral and dental needs affect overall health and takes a comprehensive approach to patient care. Most importantly she provides a comforting experience for her patients.
