Dr. Wu Zheng
Dr. Zheng earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident. His training included extensive experience in dentoalveolar surgery, intravenous sedation, implant reconstruction, facial trauma, and reconstructive facial surgery.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Zheng is committed to education and academic medicine. He currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where he mentors and teaches dental students in oral surgery. He previously held a faculty position at Midwestern University School of Dentistry in Chicago and served as an attending oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania, where he helped train dental residents.
Dr. Zheng is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has contributed to scientific research with publications in peer-reviewed journals and remains committed to staying current with the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Zheng is also passionate about community service and has participated in numerous volunteer missions providing surgical and dental care to underserved populations both in the United States and internationally.
Outside the office, Dr. Zheng enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children and giving back to the community. He is also an avid foodie who loves traveling in search of great cuisine—so if you know a great place to eat, he’s always happy to hear your recommendations.
